Assembling instruction:
- Generally
Kolintang is packaged in groups as below:
- Melody
box is put in Bass box.
- Alto
box is put in Tenor box, and for both, are put in Cello box.
- At the
bottom of the box, there is name code of instrument.
- M
for Melody
- A
for Alto
- T
for Tenor
- C
for Cello
- B
for Bass

- The
leg of Kolintang are pair for 1 Kolintang box and at the bottom of the leg
coded with M, A, T, C, B accord the box pair.
- Size
a pair of leg on each box is not same, for bigger can be put on the box
which is bigger.
- Every
leg is set aside with nut and bolt to combine with the box and tighten
with hand only.




3. After the leg has set with the
box and nut for bolt, tighten with hand, the tuts or the top of Kolintang wood
is put on.
- On
the Back side / below of tuts has direction of box with tuts such as B
direction: tuts must be put with Bass Box. Same with another directions,
such as M = Melody, A = Alto, T = Tennor, and C = Cello.
- Tuts
is arranged as the tune direction on the back side / below and put on with
tune direction as written below nail inside the box.
- Tuts
are arranged seriesly start with big (the longest) side till small side
(the shortest).
Especially for melody tuts,
arranged like tuts on piano, which is the middle tune of C key arranged on the
top part, such as black tuts of piano.

- Stick
of Kolintang is not the same for each of instrument.
- For
Melody instrument consist of 3 sticks without rubber band and written M
also number 1, 2, and 3. Generally number 1 holded by left hand when
playing Melody and stick no. 2, and 3 are hold between right fingers.
- For
Alto instrument consist of 3 sticks with rubber band and written A also
number 1, 2, and 3. Generally number 1 holded by left fingers when playing
Alto and stick no. 2 and 3 holded
between right fingers.
- For
Tenor instrument consist of 3 sticks with rubber band and written T also
number 1, 2, 3. Generally number 1 holded by left hand when playing
Tennor and stick number 2 and 3 are
hold between right fingers.
- For
Cello instrument consist of 3 sticks with rubber band and written M also
number 1, 2, and 3. Generally number 1 holded by left hand when playing
Cello and stick number 2 and 3 are
hold between right fingers.
For Bass instrument consist of 2
sticks with rubber band and written B also number 1 and 2.
Generally number 1 holded by left
hand when play Bas and stick number 2 holded by right hand
